Groov is a flat-pack storage unit designed specifically to break the norm of flat-packed furniture. Groov aims to look like a unit that is sold pre-assembled, while still having the shipping benefit of being assembled or disassembled when needed. Despite its appearance, Groov is designed for simple and quick assembly.
Birch Plywood
The unit's defining feature, the grooves, allow the body to be fabricated from a single piece of birch plywood that bends to form the sides, shortening assembly time.
Mild Steel
Brushed mild steel legs and supports are used as an accent material to contrast the birch plywood. Mild steel parts are coated to prevent rust.
Fastening Methods
Groov makes use of a unique fastening method, that enables to user to attach the top and back panels to the body by merely sliding 6 brass pins into holes in the sides of the panels.
Modular Capabilities
Groov is designed with modular capabilities, giving it a playful personalized touch. Two or three adjacent units can be joined by means of a simple bracket that replaces the center legs of the units.
